-I'm pretty excited because I was under the impression that the 11th was Monday, not Tuesday, so now I have an extra day to work on [put off starting] my Soc final paper.
-I kind of lucked out because I got the answering machine when I called home for Mother's Day. I'm not particularly close with either of my parents, but now I don't know if I need to call back to talk to her in person or what. My Brother is such a better child. He probably sent her a card and everything. Lord save me if he went to visit her.
-The WASP came over, drunk and high, at 4 in the morning on Friday. I was happy that JB was awake, because the three of us hung out for a couple hours while he sobered up a tad. When she went to her room to do work he asked "Would it be bad if I kissed you right now?" We made out for like an hour and he asked me to go to his bed with him. I denied and he sighed, said "Well, it was worth a shot," kissed me and wandered on out.
-The weather was nice for a few days, but now it's all windy and cold. I had to dig out my snuggie and I'm using my fat cat as a handwarmer.
-Briga was texting me and calling me when I was out on Friday night. I was more in the mood to spend time with my girls, so I ignored him. When he facebook chatted me on Saturday I told him that my phone was dead. He made some comment about wanting to see me before he moved out of the dorm, since "it'll be the last time I see you unless I come down to visit a couple times during the summer." I had nothing nice to say so I shut my computer. I've been trying to keep it purely physical, but he's leading himself on if he thinks we'll ever be a couple.
-National Geographic Channel's Taboo is my new favorite show.
-JB and Roomie had to break in to our apartment on Saturday morning because neither of them had keys or a phone. Lucky for them, the very tall #3 was wandering by and threw Roomie onto the porch overhang so that she could get in to her bedroom window. I had gotten home about an hour earlier, but I sleep like a log made out of rocks so I didn't hear any of this. I would not have believed it if I didn't have to help Roomie get her necklace off the roof that afternoon.
-To put off calling my Mom today I picked up the whole living room. Despite being able to see the surface of the coffee table, I still can't find my headphones and don't know how I'll be able to work without them. I'm going to have to go spelunking under the sofa later. Maybe my other white flip-flop is under there, too.
-Two days!
-Happy Mother's Day. My only wish for all the mothers out there is that your kids end up nicer than the hooligans my Mom ended up with.

soooo.... what hours do you actually sleep?! ;)
btw - please post pics of your fat cat (unless that is a sexual reference, lol)... I LOVE fat cats (unless that is a sexual reference) ;)
The old "Mother's Day Answering Machine Message". HA ! I HEAR YA !
My sister and I are both good kids but I sent my mom flowers and forgot to actually ask my sissy if she wanted in on that. Oops?
I had to go spelunking under my bed this morning for my dog... She seems to feel its her fortress of solitude/secret lair within which to gather her toys... which she likes to lie on top of ;-)
You're gonna have to set Briga straight. You know that, right?
Almost there girl, congrats!!
I LOVE your cat!!! so purdy :)
PS. I use my fat cat as a feet warmer... all year long!
i don't start drinking until 7 tonight, so i'm stopping in to say congrats!
Good will power against The WASP!
I think the answering machine on Mother's Day isn't enough. Odds are even if you feel some distance, they probably miss you and think about you all the time.
Okay, sorry to be all serious.
ang: i can usually be found snoring facedown in my pillow from 3am-noonish on a normal day. i love my kitty cat, too. he's my little sweetyface fluffbutt wubwubs
heff: it was ironic- the one day that i DONT want the answering machine nobody's home to answer!
boomka: it's always a good idea to shimmy your sibling onto the card at least!
shayna: that's so cute! my small cat likes to crawl under the slipcover on a chair in the tv room. he's gotten sat on a few times but he just loves to be in his little cave
hex: i don't usually have the problem of a guy wanting to hang out with me all the time... my method of just moving on to the next doesn't really apply here.
another david: i'm glad you can fit blog visits in to your busy drinking schedule, haha
dr ken: in my defense, i included "you can call me back when you get this" in my message and she never called me back
