It's taken a few swings through my pump-up playlist but I'm feeling generally optimistic and hopeful. Big things are happening this year for me. More like one big thing, graduation in May, but it's pretty exciting that I might have a glimpse of what being a real person is like. I know that I don't know anything; I still count myself as a dumb kid, but I think that might actually put me at an advantage to my peers who think they have everything figured out at this point. Please don't tell me if I'm wrong about that.
I know you're all probably pretty stoked to see some crazy Vegas pictures. Unfortunately the group I went with isn't as depraved as the people I'm used to, so it wasn't as insane as I would have hoped- the GUYS vetoed a night at a strip club- but I did my best with what I had:
New Year's Eve saw me in a borrowed dress, still tipsy from celebrating my friend's engagement [he proposed on a gondola in front of the Venetian. Kinda cheesy], and struggling to keep my boobs contained with three safety pins swiped from Walgreens [I'm sorry, but I wasn't about to spend 5 damn dollars for a pack of 25 when I only needed 3]. The girl with the pink bar isn't the newly engaged friend, but she and I became buddies and shared a bed all week.
I taught everyone my favorite drinking game, Ello Govnah!, and we took pictures as we played and pregamed. Apparently my drawers made an appearance in all of those pictures, but I have to say I'm pleased with the way my legs look. The guy in the purple top hat who is rubbing my face is my friend's fiance.
Finally got out on the strip at around 10:30. Noticed blood on my hand at about 11. Noticed blood on my friend's jacket at around 11:20. Noticed source of blood at approximately 11:45. Still puzzling about it.
Of course, it wouldn't be New Year's unless I talked to at least one strange man. He and I hung out around the strip until 4 in the morning, and he's still texting me about how it was one of the best nights of his life. And we didn't sleep together or anything!
How does that compare with how you all spent the final countdown of the decade?Since being home I have:
-Gone through my clothes, gotten rid of the lame stuff, done 3 loads of laundry
-Driven a car for the first time in over six months with no problems [to the shock of my parents]
-Rediscovered the N64 in the basement, beaten Pokemon Snap, possibly broke MarioKart
-Gone shopping [bought a bra at the VS Semi-Annual and a present for my Vegas friend, scoped out stores for my planned shopping trip with Mom this Saturday] and ate wings with JerseyAg
-Developed a very annoying dry cough
-Gone to the dentist. My lower anterior gums are a mess.
-Been way way too scared to ask my parents for money for an amazing Spring Break trip that SH is planning
-Gotten my final grades for the Fall semester: 4 Bs and an A, holler back.
-Hustled an early ride back to school with a cute guy friend
-Chatted with F: he's going to be up for a visit in 2 weeks!
-Decided on songs to choreograph to for Dance Group, but still need to come up with ideas for the Senior piece

Great update. Happy New Year!
How were you able to see with that green tape over your eyes, LOL !!!
Looks like a good time. Every picture tells a story, just like Rod Stewart used to say.
Your NYE looks much more exciting than mine, although i had fun anyway. And I demand that you blog about your favorite drinking games. They're my favorite.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't demand since this is the first time I've visited your blog... but ask nicely? yes?
N64 Rocks. Super Smash Bros. is still one of my favorite games. :) Found you on 20sb and read your desire for more 20-something blogging buds. Know I'll be following!
so you requested some 20-somethings on 20-something.com (kind of convenient haha)
I don't know if a dude is convenient, but I'm about to click follow.
Especially liked the breakdown of the mystery blood, haha
thanks for stopping by! BTW-- N64 is the bomb! lol
Hooray for crazy NYE parties! My friends and I partied Vegas-style in DC, which is to say we were carting around a cardboard cutout of Elvis. Until he was stolen.
Loving the breakdown of the mystery blood, haha. That's always a fun game.
