I'm totally the worst packer ever. I'm always convinced that I've left something crucial behind and nothing can get me to not think that way. I've already resigned myself to the fact that I totally lost my awesome Dance Group sweatpants somewhere in the house [or gave them to my cousin on Memorial Day, but that's unlikely], I couldn't find a favorite sports bra, and I thought that I had at least one pair of tights that weren't holey beyond belief. I tend to make a million lists of things and obsessively update them but that seems to make me more paranoid ["Did I put that on the list?"]. It's a lose-lose, I guess.
Overall I've had a decent summer. Nothing entirely earth-shattering happened. Well, I did go on a totally awesome vacation, and discovered a new passion, embarrassed myself in front of my extended family, and had really really awkward hair. Looking back, I spent most of the time mired in the ice cream mines looking forward to being back with everyone at school so I didn't take a lot of time to stop and smell the summertime roses.
I am totally excited to get back up to school, though. I'm living in a sweet apartment with a couple dancers, a hot lesbian, a kind of sketchy dude, and a girl we found through an online roommate finder listing. I seriously can't wait to just be surrounded by people my own age again.
Getting back into doing schoolwork is going to be rough. I'm taking two classes that are definitely going to be essay-heavy, but I've got a low-level Spanish class and Public Speaking to even it out. It's a trip that I'm halfway done with this college thing; I'm not sure what exactly to think since it seems like I still have a LOT to get to if I'm intending to graduate as someone who knows something about anything.
We'll see how it goes.
