Hit the Switch

Dr Ken and Ang- I think you guys are the only two people who still read my blog. Thanks for continuing to stop by.
I've been considering closing the door on my blogger since I don't have epic adventures anymore. Tumblr would be the logical place to go, but I don't really get how it works [everything is a reblog of everything else? or something?].

I've been overloading on stupid internet shit for the last week or so. And no, not just porn. Right now I'm reading Gorg's tumblr. It's mostly about Glee. I don't watch Glee. For some reason, I can't stop watching gifs about Glee.

My course to get my EEC teacher certification is over July 2nd. I have one more discussion board post to make [but it's just a wrap-up "How did you like the course" thing, no problem], a short-answer final, and a 5-page "research" paper. "Research" is in quotes because it's a fucking 5 page paper, which is babytime frolics to begin with, but we are specifically required to use "at least 2 outside sources." I can't believe I went to real school for nothing and am doing this for something.
At least I got a bonus [$50] and another $0.25/hr raise at my mid-year review. I should have asked for more hours but I was kind of nervous and didn't want to say anything. Maybe after I get my teacher cert I can negotiate.

Yesterday was me and the eM's 2 monthaversary. He sent me a text this morning saying "Good morning, gorgeous! You've made me the happiest guy around for two wonderful months now :)" Can you even stand it? I can barely manage. They say relationships are hard work, but thus far [and really we've been in each others' lives since January] it's just EASY to be with him. He's big on getting shit out in the open and talk it out.
We had our "first fight" last weekend because I got some tequila in me. Drunk JS took over and was running my mouth about how, if I were single, I would be appreciative of his visiting Marine friend's company. He got pretty offended by it, but he told me so upfront and gave me the chance to say my piece. He got understandably snippy with me, but we've since apologized and made up/out.
I'm cooking dinner for him tomorrow and then the plan is to stay in bed until Sunday.

I was going to post the recipe for the stuffed chicken thing I'm making, but it's more difficult to explain than I expected. I'll take some pictures to explain next time I make it.

Consolation prize: the dessert I made-
No-Bake Blueberry Pie
4 c blueberries [A pint of blueberries is almost 2 cups, so you'll need 3 pints and have a bunch left over]
3/4 c water
3/4 c sugar
3 T corn starch
1 t lemon juice
pie crust [I used a store-bough graham cracker crust]
*Wash and dry all your berries. Set aside ~1 c.
*In a medium saucepan, heat 3 c berries and water. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, then mash everything. I found that a slotted spatula does the trick pretty well.
*Combine the sugar and corn starch. Stir into the berries. Heat, stirring, until everything is thickened.
-Remove from heat. Add lemon juice. Let things cool down, but don't let it get completely cold.
*Dump the reserved berries into your pie crust. Dump the contents of the saucepan over the berries. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve, at least 1 hr.
