Your Wildest Facepaint

The big date with the ex-Marine went really well. REALLY well. He took me to a nice Italian joint in the city then to a couple bars. That night we re-opened the naughty chapter of our story and it was nice [3 for me! Hello!!] even though my womanly flow decided to NOT hold off a few hours and now I have to bleach my mattress pad. I know it happens just about every month to just about every woman on the planet, but that doesn't mean I can't feel bad about bleeding all over a guy who just wanted to make whoopie.
Sunday we bummed around all day, watched a movie, napped, made out, and went out for a family-style dining chain restaurant dinner.

He only annoyed me for a little while during Sunday afternoon when I didn't know what to do with him, but he was great fun [not to mention very VERY generous] the rest of the time. Both nights, the waiters commented to us about how cute we were. On Saturday we got a free dessert because we kept making our guy laugh, seriously.

We talk on the phone almost every night for HOURS. This is kind of a big deal because I hate talking on the phone, but somehow with him we can just chitchat away and suddenly it's been 3 hours. He takes my teasing jokes in stride and lobs them back at me. For whatever reason he seems to like just about everything I have going on.

So of course, in the back of my mind, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for him to suddenly just leave or for me to run away due to some bullshit because that is what Always. Happens. It makes me nervous!

Also making me nervous- midyear staff review time! I gave myself an over 4/5 and reminded them that I've been doing a better job at doing my job since the last review, so it should go well, but you never know what other people will say about you.

Shit! I made really incredible creamcheese-filled chocolate cupcakes last week but I don't have the recipe with me...I'll try to remember it for next week.

The eM and I have plans to go to the aquarium this Saturday and then make ravioli from scratch on Sunday. I told him I'd make a Going to the Aquarium mix cd. Gag me, I know, haha.

Is that the Ex-Marine shagging you from behind with a camera in his hand in your last post? Jeez Louise! Sometimes I'm just glad your dad doesn't find this blog page.

Best of luck with this guy. You two DO sound cute together (I might as well say it too).

But, isn't he ALWAYS a Marine? Would he be offended by that name? Then again, my new chick's name on my page is Law School Dropout . . .

Live in the moment... don't stress and worry your self with 'what could go wrong'. If you're having a good time right now, then keep doing that!

Can't wait to hear about the cupcakes!

Aquarium Mix would have to have numerous tracks from "The Mollusk" by Ween as well as "Octopus Garden" by The Beatles.

dr ken: he was giving me a backrub while wearing bball shorts that apparently rode up! regardless, i am also glad my dad hasn't stumbled across this thing yet. he's out of the corps, honorable discharge. he's a big ol' hippy at heart. also, the aquarium mix had "ocean man" by ween, but i was never a huge fan of "octopus' garden"

ang: the cupcake recipe is up! make them. they're easy but REALLY impressive!

dgirl: ive had it just sneak up on me a few times and i've found that if i pretend like im not completely grossed out, they guy has to act like he's okay with it. cleanup is a huge pain though!!
